Important: We cannot provide any SAP environment for you. Please make sure you have or can provision your own SAP lab environment on AWS (SAP Netweaver ABAP >= 7.51) via one of the following techniques below.
Please use the respective SAP Developer Editions only. Also check the corresponding SAP license terms and conditions!
Prerequisites:
Go the AWS console -> IAM and create a new user. Make sure to select programmatic access:
Add the following policies, as per documentation
The output should look as follows:
Once successful, copy and past both access key and secret into a notepad (temporarily only).
Open cal.sap.com and navigate to ‘Accounts’. Clickt ‘Create Account’:
Choose ‘Amazon Web Services’ and paste your access key and secret into the respective inputs. Finish the wizard.
The result should look as follows:
Go and find the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.51 SP02 on HANA solution and activate it. Then select Create Instance:
Choose your previously created account and make sure region us-east-1 is selected. Specify a secure password.
Note: This will be your master password for RDP Access as well as SAPGUI access!
Store your private key as follows - download is not necessary.
It will take roughly 30 minutes to deploy the system!
It should switch from Activating to Active:
Click ‘Connect’ to download the RDP profile. Double click to execute and launch the RDP client.
Note: You will need an RDP Client to access the jump server.

If not launched automatically, click on the ‘Welcome’ link on the desktop.
Launch SAPGUI and logon
User: Developer

Go to TCODE slicense
Find your active hardware key and copy it to your clipboard
Within the virtual desktop, go and launch https://go.support.sap.com/minisap/#/minisap to request a new mini sap license
Select your SID e.g. A4H
and add your personal info as well as hardware key on the bottom.
Download to disk and click the import license button
The result should looks as follows:
Congratulations, you are good to go!
